We made some mistake during the game - Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United high flying playmaker Bruno Fernandes has revealed the mistake his side made during last night's win against  Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

Manchester United won their first game of the new year yesterday and it was a hard-fought win as their opponent Aston Villa were good and composed.

An Anthony Martial's effort in the 40th minute and a Bruno Fernandes 61st minute penalty was enough for the Manchester side even though
Aston Villa got a goal of their own in the 58th minute through former Chelsea man Bertrand Traore.

After the game, Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer pointed out the club has improved tremendously in which Bruno Fernandes agreed with during his interview after the game.

‘I agree with that because against Leicester we conceded a goal at the end,’ Fernandes said

‘The only mistake we made today was we had more chances to score again and maybe we have to close the game more quickly. We don’t score the third one and they press us until the end.

‘We knew they [Aston Villa] play really well. They have qualities and are doing well in the league.

‘We did well and created more chances than before but scored less goals. The most important thing is three points though.’

Bruno Fernandes also revealed he is confident when he takes the penalty and that it is always important to score them.

‘I feel like I have to make the penalty go on goal but it’s important to score and it doesn’t matter how,' the Portuguese added

‘You need to win the games no matter how. I am confident when I take the penalty otherwise I would pass for somebody else.

‘When you dream to play in the Premier League you think of this – the Boxing day and the first day of new year.
