The boys are angrier than anything else - Jürgen Klopp

The boys are angrier than anything else - Jürgen Klopp

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has describes how his boys after the draw against West Brom yesterday.

Liverpool dominated the game as they always do in every game but failed to add to the opener they got in the 12 minutes of the game through Sadio Mane. Though they had lots of possession, they couldn't get the much need second goal to seal the game.

West Brom however came back strong in the second half pushing to score and get something from the game and they were able to do that in the 82nd minute when Nigeria International Sami Ajayi headed home Matheus Pereira's cross to help them pick a point at Anfield.

Speaking after the game Klopp revealed how angry and disappointed the boys are to not get and the win and extend their lead at the top of the table to five points.

‘The problem that I have is I think West Brom deserved the point – it’s our fault, but they deserved a point in the second half,' Klopp said

‘First half was a really strange game, I don’t know the stats yet but it looks like it was 90/10 [percent] possession or something like this.

‘First five minutes of the second half, they had more situations than they had in the entire first half and we could have sorted that by passing just easy, simple, quick to the next player.

‘So we could have done it and we didn’t and that’s why it’s our fault that it’s, in the end, a 1-1 and not a 1-0 or 2-0 or whatever. So that’s what we have to accept and we do that, of course.’

‘We should have won the game, or we wanted to win the game and we didn’t, and now we are all ‘depressed’ or whatever,’ he added.

‘The boys are more angry than anything else because they know that it was not perfect but that’s it and now, of course, we have to play the next game in three days.

‘We don’t live in dream-land and just win football matches because we want to win them: we have to work for it and we have to play for it and we have to finish the situations off and we have to pass in the right moments. These kind of things, what the boys are able to do. That’s it.’
