It's my dream to play for England - Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Everton on fire striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has revealed his desire to play England and hope for a call-up when Gareth Southgate announces his team for the next England games later today.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin was in fine form for Everton yesterday scoring a Hat-trick as they defeated West Ham to book a spot in the Carabao Cup quarter-final.

The striker opened the scoring in the 11th minute of the game before adding a double later in the second half. He has now scored two Hat-tricks in the space of two weeks for his side as their impressive start to the season continues.

"I've said many times before that it's my dream to play for England but I can't control that so I'm taking care of business at the moment to give myself the best chance to make the next step," Calvert-Lewin after the West Ham game

"I'm enjoying my football, which is the main thing. You look at the chances being created and they are there for me so it's my job to put them in the back of the net and I'm obviously enjoying being able to do that at the moment."

"We've got players who are capable of scoring from different areas of the pitch which is very important,"

"When you've got that, it's a helping hand from everyone on the pitch.

"A lot of my goals have been one-touch finishes so it's about getting in the right areas and being the man to put them in the back of the net."

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti also praised Calvert-Lewin's performance claiming the striker is doing a fantastic job at the moment.

"He's doing a fantastic job in the moment. He's really on fire and scoring a lot of goals,' Ancelotti said

"He's in a very good moment. Whether he's the best [English striker] I don't know, but I don't care. For me, for us, he is."
