I will always give 100 percent - Curtis Jones

I will always give 100 percent - Curtis Jones

Man of the match-winner in Liverpool 7:2 win over Lincoln City Curtis Jones has revealed he will continue to give his best for the team.

Jones scored two wonderful goals for Liverpool on Thursdays night in a game that looked one-sided as Xherdan Shaqiri, Takumi Minamino, Marko Grujic, and Divock Origi were also on the score sheet.

The Premier League Champions have now set up a date with Arsenal in the fourth round and this particular will be tougher than the win over Lincoln City.

Reacting to his side win, and his own individual performance, Jones thinks his side were very good and that everyone brought their 100 percent to the game.

"Coming into a competition like this, I think the underdog can always catch you a bit by surprise. But I thought the boys were 100 percent at it and I think they showed that today.

"I'm happy [with my goals] but more importantly the boys got the win and we go through to the next round,' Jones told Liverpool official website.

"They all count – a goal's a goal to me. I'm happy the boys got the win and we're through to the next round.

"I'm looking forward to [Arsenal] and, again, will give 100 percent if I'm starting or if I'm coming off the bench. I'll give 100 percent.

"Every game that I play it's an opportunity for me and the rest of the lads. Every game that I'm called upon, I've always said that I'll give 100 percent. It's what I try to do.

"I think the performances go and show a glimpse of what I'm capable of doing. But I've still got a lot to learn and I need to be patient and my time will come."
