Nigeria to represent Africa at the Polska invitational football tournament

Nigeria Amputee football team has been chosen to fly Africa's flag at the upcoming Polska invitational football tournament taking place in Warsaw, Poland.

Nigeria earned an invitation to the tournament based on the team’s recent good form as Nigeria finished runners up at the last year’s African Nations Cup for Amputee Footballers (CANAF).

President of the Nigerian Amputee Federation, Mallam Suleiman Isah confirmed the story as he received a letter personally signed by the competition manager.

'The Nigeria Amputee Football Federation received a letter personally signed by the Competition Manager, Bogna Czepulkowska, inviting us for the 9th International Amputee Football Cup.'

Mallam Isah elaborated on the importance of the tournament.

'Is always an avenue for scouts across Europe to get players who will be signed to play professional amputee football in Europe.'

He further gave the assurance of the provision of shelter and amenities for the athletes by the organizers.

Other invitees include England, USA, Haiti, and Mexico.

The tournament is expected to hold this year between September 18th and 20th.
