Ex Nigerian international Victor Anichebe is anticipating to play the game of football again ahead of the 2020/21 season.
The Nigerian who played for English sides Everton, West Bromwich Albion, and Sunderland, has been without a club since he left Chinese club Beijing Enterprises.
The 32-year-old told Sky sports that if the opportunity comes for him to get back at his feet again he'll definitely play soccer again. He also disclosed that he trained with a friend at Doncaster.
“I feel hungry to play but only if the right opportunity comes,”
“I am working on a lot of other things right now but if the right opportunity comes then I would definitely play.
“Last year I trained with my friend Darren Moore at Doncaster. It was really good to be in and around [the team atmosphere].”
The Ex Nigerian international revealed that it took him up to a week to fitness. He also uncovered that other teams from Europe have contacted him but feels his business in England is not ended yet.
“It took me about a week to get the fitness but I felt good. I am looking forward, if the right opportunity comes, to getting back into it,” he added.
“I have had a few options to go abroad but I feel I want to play in England. I feel like I have unfinished business in England.
“I would prefer to stay in England for another two years. Right now is the fittest I have ever been,” he said.
“We will see if a good opportunity comes and I’ll assess if I actually want to take it and we’ll go from there.”
Anichebe played 11 international matches for Nigeria and hit the back of the net once in the process.
