
The latest update indicates that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will now play Matchday 3 and 4 of the AFCON qualifiers between 9-12 November 2020.
The Group L leaders will then play Match Day 5 and Match Day 6 between 22nd – 30th March 2021.
The West African giants sit at the top of Group L with a maximum of six points from two games Played followed by Benin Republic, Lesotho, and Sierra Leone. The Finals will be hosted by Cameroon in January 2022.
Meanwhile, FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifiers new dates have also been confirmed with the Match Day 1&2 scheduled to be played between 31st May – 15 June 2021.
Match Day 3&4 is slated between 30th August – 7th September 2021 while Match Day 5&6 is to happen between 4th – 12th October 2021.
The Knockout Matches (Playoffs) will be played between 8th – 16th November 2021.
Nigeria occupies group C with Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Liberia.
Cape Verde, Central African Republic and Liberia have never qualified for the global tournament.
