Foden loves to play football - Pep Guardiola


Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is pleased with young star Phil Foden's performance in his side win over Burnley yesterday.

Phil Foden put up a Man of the match display against Burnley and the young star was praised by everyone who watched the game as it was an impressive one.

The England international started the rout for City with a wonderful effort from 20 yards before Mahrez added another 2 in space of five minutes. The first half ended with City already 3 goals up

The second half was continued the way the first was played as City added two mores, one from David Silva and the other from impressive Foden.

Asked about Phil Foden's display after the game, Pep revealed he is happy with the young star and that he loves his attitude and behavior.

'I'm happy with him and if he feels it's his best performance - perfect.'

'I said many times, he's never played bad. Especially for his behaviour and attitude.'

'On the pitch, training, he loves to play football.'

'He plays every time with us since he was promoted to be the senior squad and has played a high level.'

'We cannot forget he is just 20 years old. He will be decisive player for this
club.'

Guardiola also confirmed the injury Kun Aguero picked up during the game doesn't look good and that he will be assessed later today.

'It doesn’t look good,' Pep said

'It is something in the knee. We will see tomorrow and will see what he has.'


'He felt something in his knee and he will struggle in the last month, but we will see.'

'The doctor said tomorrow we will know more, but it doesn’t look good at this moment.'
