Bayern star Robert Lewandowski has opened up about how Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp helped him when he joined Borrusia Dortmund.


Lewandowski played under Jurgen Klopp at Borrusia Dortmund when the Liverpool manager was still coaching the German side.

The Polish international played from 2010-2014 and had a fantastic time under Klopp before he decided to join Bayern Munich later in 2014 also.

Lewandowski has now revealed how Klopp helped him to be the player he is today and how he also helped him to settle down in Dortmund when he first join the club in 2010.

"I met someone who encouraged me a lot as a person, who taught me a lot and opened the world of football to me," Lewandowski revealed

'Klopp has charisma and finds the right mixture of fun and serious criticism in a conversation with the player.'

"You can go through fire for a coach like that,"

Lewandowski is currently on rehab from a groin injury.
