Big Sam name England expected formation against Sweden

After a hard fought win against Colombia on Tuesday, Sam Allardyce has revealed the expected formation England are supposed to play against Sweden in their next game.

Sam Allardyce thinks the England team is not clinical enough in front of goal and wants Gareth Southgate to deploy a new formation to avoid another penalty shoot-out against Sweden.

On a program 'Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast,' Big Sam reflect on  the game against Colombia and also give an opinion about the next game.

'It was nail-bitting indeed,' he said speaking about the Colombia

'I don't think we were stunning, we weren't fluent and we certainly weren't clinical in front of goal again.'

'But the bottom line is we're through and that's really all that matters. We're through against Sweden and we couldn't have a better way forward.'

'But if i was in Gareth's shoes, and I know I'm not, I would seriously consider changing the system.'

'For me, it would have to be Trippier or Kyle Walker (to leave out).

'If you left Trippier out, you put Walker at right-back and if you left Walker out you'd leave Trippier at right-back.'

'Trippier has been terrific but it is a big decision you have to make.'

'Defensively we look extremely sound, but I think we need more attacking prowess going forward to try and score more goals from open play.'

'I don't think they need to play with three at the back against Sweden. They could cope comfortably with two defenders, I don't think they've got anything to concern us going forward.'

'I would put an extra man in midfield or put three at the top. I think that might work. Stick Rashford in.'

'England have not scored enough goals from open play - even against Panama it was one great goal from Jesse Lingard and one deflected shot off Harry's heel.'

England plays Sweden on Saturday and they will hope for nothing but a win. A win will book them a place in the World cup Semi-finals
