LFC Players are feeling anxious after poor results, "Brandan Rodgers"

Brendan Rodgers hailed the impact of Danny Ings after admitting his Liverpoolside were anxious after a string of poor results. Ings came off the bench to replace the injured Christian Bentekeat half time and scored after only three minutes before Russell Martin grabbed the equaliser. The draw means that Liverpool have now not won in five games and Rodgers said the players need to embrace the experience of playing at Anfield. “I’m disappointed and frustrated by the result,” said the Northern Irishman. “I thought, in particular in the second half, there was a lot more signs of our fluency and creativity. “In the first half we were a wee bit static. I felt that we had the ball in decent positions but probably the movement in front of the ball wasn’t how we would have liked. “I think on the back of their last performance here there was a little bit of anxiety in the first half but in the second half we freed ourselves up a bit more. I thought Danny Ings was outstanding. “I’ve always said to all the players that there is a beauty of playing at Anfield and it’s a real special place to play. But you have to have courage and bravery to play here. There is a big history but you must embrace it. You have to play positive football.”
