We couldn't just take our chances - Antonio Conte

Chelsea Manager Antonio Conte has spoken about his side lack of finishing power and how it has been hurting them season long.

Chelsea played Tottenham yesterday in a derby they needed to win in other to qualify for the Champions League.

But it was another bad day for them. They actually took the lead through Alvaro Morata but Tottenham bounces back to score three against them through Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli who continued his impressive display against the blues.

Yesterday win also brings the end of Tottenham winless run at the bridge. This as actually lasted for 28 years. Speaking after the game, Conte felt Chelsea would have won the game if they had made use of their chances.

"I think our first-half was really good and I think if the first-half finished with the scoreline 2-0 it would be more fair. Then with the second-half, we started well then we concede a second goal and we lost the confidence. It was very difficult to come back.

"It's a pity because we all know the chance that we had to try to reduce the gap with Tottenham, now the situation is very difficult for Champions League next season."

"I think in this season in many games we had many chances but we didn't score. Last season we were more clinical. In the game, I saw Tottenham do this. They scored chances they had and they won the game. It's a pity."

Asked about if Chelsea can still get a Champions League spot by the end of the season, he said;

"We must try until the end to catch a place in Champions League. In this case, it's Tottenham and Liverpool and we must try to get three points in every game to see what happens."

Do you think Chelsea can still snatch the 4th position away from Tottenham?
