English players are now the Masters of diving - Arsene Wenger

Leading to the match this weekend against Tottenham, Arsene  Wenger has a take a dig at Tottenham players and called them masters of diving.

After Tottenham, last game against Liverpool which ended up a 2-2 draw, both Harry Kane and Dele Alli were accused of diving. But Tottenham Boss Mauricio Pochettino insisted Alli's dive during the 2-2 draw at Anfield was a simple case of football trickery.

During the pre-match interview to the weekend game, Wenger was asked about Pochettino's comment and this was his reply: "I am convinced he wanted to see tricking your opponent is to be clever."

"Was it an apology for diving? I'm not sure."

"In my case, no. We want to get diving out of the game."

"It used to be the foreigners but I must say the English players have learnt very quickly and are maybe the masters now."

Wenger also hinted that David Ospina might start in goal for the weekend and also Danny Welbeck will be back and that Nacho Monreal is alright.

"Danny Welbeck will be back and we had a few problems with Petr Cech, we're not sure at the moment because he's not practiced, I don't know if he'll be available," he said

"Nacho Monreal looks alright again. I have no problem with that [starting Cech]. Whether it is Ospina or Cech, I will make my decision tomorrow."
